Robert Burridge is an Industrial Designer who, after 25 years in the business, left the corporate world to be a full-time, contemporary painter. Today his paintings are sold in galleries worldwide, including San Francisco, Raleigh, Sedona, Hawaii, Australia and on Cruise Ships.
Burridge is also a national juror for many art organizations, as well as a college and national workshop instructor. He is the Honorary President of the International Society of Acrylic Painters and a Signature Member of both the Philadelphia Water Color Society and the ISAP. His honors include the prestigious Franklin Mint award and the Crest Medal for Achievement in the Arts, previously awarded to Picasso, John Singer Sargent, and Georgia O'Keeffe.
Hollywood is another venue for Bob's work; he created 12 huge paintings for the movie "Dean Quixote." His work is in the corporate collections of Fox Family Channel as well as other television and entertainment industries. Along with gallery representation across the United States, his paintings are in collections of corporations, universities and embassies.
Burridge's work is praised as "Happy, powerful, humorous and just a little tweaked!" Art critics claim Burridge's works are "masterly done," cheerfully done and original.
"Art should be an uplifting experience for both the painter and the art buyer. It's one of the luxurious examples celebrating artistic talent and all that is wonderful about life, and especially its quirkiness." |
